Community Spotlight: Lazy Buffalo Café brings work-based learning and youth entrepreneurship to life 

In the spirit of community, the LANL Foundation is pleased to highlight a valued partner – The Lazy Buffalo Trading Company LLC. As an organization that brings people together, the LANL Foundation strives to provide a warm, welcoming environment as we work to lift up education in Northern New Mexico. Run by local youth Melissa De La Cruz and her family, Lazy Buffalo has provided breakfast and lunch for meetings with regional education leaders and a regional college and career meeting hosted at our Española office.

LANL Foundation and NACA Inspired Schools Network Partner to Launch Innovative Indigenous Science Curriculum

The LANL Foundation and the NACA Inspired Schools Network (NISN) are proud to announce the forthcoming launch of the Indigenous Science Initiative (ISI), the nation’s first open-source, national and state standards-aligned science curriculum centered on Indigenous knowledge, values, and learning practices. Set to be piloted in classrooms this fall, the initiative directly addresses urgent calls for culturally relevant education for Native American students and their peers.
