Ways to Give:
Scholarships
Students in Northern New Mexico have big dreams for meaningful careers. However, many do not have the money to fund higher learning to make these dreams a reality. We ask for your support in providing financial assistance to these deserving high school and college students seeking undergraduate degrees and adults looking for new opportunities through a two-year degree or certification. Most donations to the Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund (LAESF) come from the generous Laboratory workforce and Triad National Security, however anyone can contribute to our scholarships for any field of study, not just STEM.
Whether you choose to make a one-time donation or commit to a longer-term pledge, your generosity will help a student from your community build a fulfilling career and a bright future.

Did you know that you can donate real estate to the LANL Foundation? Direct gifts of appreciated assets like real estate are simply a smarter way to give – allowing donors to avoid capital gains taxes, to receive a tax deduction based on current appraisal, to preserve the more liquid assets, and to relieve a portfolio of a complex asset that is no longer needed. Stocks & Securities
Donating stocks allows you to avoid capital gains tax and often take a charitable deduction for the full value of the asset. Use this tool to donate stock so we can track your gift, send you the correct receipt, and ensure you can get the tax savings you deserve. If you would prefer to make your donation through your broker, access our transfer information from the link above to notify the LANL Foundation of your gift.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are 70.5 or older, giving from your IRA can help reduce your taxable income — and for those over 73 who must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), an IRA gift is a simple way to fulfill it! Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Grants
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are investment accounts for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations today.
