College, Career and Community Pathways (C3P) High School Transformation Coordinator

Job Summary:             

The LANL Foundation C3P High School Transformation Coordinator is a full time, exempt position that will help tribal nations, communities, districts, and schools with holistically transforming high schools to become places that prepare students to feel successful, secure in who they are, and ready for whatever path they choose in order to increase the well-being of students and their communities. With a current focus on supporting the NM Innovation Zones Initiative, the Coordinator manages and leads projects and events to accomplish contract and grant deliverables and coordinates with internal and external partners and oversees project budgets and expenditures.  The Coordinator is a person who finds value in both helping coordinate calendars for meetings and logistics for events while also leading individual projects and supporting shared initiatives.  A successful Coordinator enjoys having a variety of tasks and projects to manage.  The Coordinator understands and brings a systems lens to the K-12 public education, higher education, and workforce sectors.  The Coordinator should appreciate the unique contexts and assets of Northern New Mexico, and have a dedication to improving opportunities for youth and young adults throughout the region.  This is a grant funded position that will depend on future funding for continuation. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multiple, complex projects in a collaborative environment towards successful outcomes, including preparing project schedules and milestones, continually monitoring and ensuring all aspects of project performance are completed to expected requirements, delivering status reports and taking corrective action, if necessary
  • With the support of the C3P program associate, build and manage project budgets including cost estimating, expenditure tracking and reporting
  • Conduct efficient and high-quality formal and/informal research, including supporting program and project evaluation and creating databases
  • Cultivate relationships, coordinate with partners and develop and implement engagement strategies
  • Compose, proof and finalize materials, including presentations, memos, reports, graphics, videos, and other documents and digital media communication
  • Manage the work of contractors
  • With the support of the C3P program associate and contractors, plan, prepare, coordinate and execute meetings, workshops and events, including coordination of calendars with colleagues and external partners, crafting participant-centered agendas, preparing meeting materials, cultivating hospitality, ordering food, and managing other logistics
  • Coordinate with communications staff to ensure social media, promotional materials, and website needs are met for the C3P Program
  • Create, update and maintain organized files and records (physical and electronic) and
  • Be available to work in-person in Espanola twice a week and to travel overnight throughout New Mexico, as needed

Eligibility Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • Knowledge and at least 3 years experience in most aspects of project management, scheduling and control activities with the ability to become proficient in all
  • Some performance tasks will be required for applicants selected to interview for this position
  • Practitioner experience in K-12, higher education, or workforce development systems
  • Organizational skills and ability to set and maintain high standards at a high rate of production by managing personal performance with responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines for self and a team
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills that allow effective work across a wide range of multicultural settings and constituencies
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to foster collaboration
  • Familiarity with the diversity of northern New Mexico communities
  • Knowledge of federal, tribal, state and philanthropic funding resources
  • Ability to work with the education community and education stakeholders in all arenas: Tribal government, state and local government, districts, schools, teachers, families, non-profits, and funders
  • Ability to influence a group of diverse individuals, each with their own goals, needs, and perspectives, to work together effectively for the good of a project
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient in use of OneDrive, Google drive and Google documents
  • Experience with non-profit organizations
  • Budget and grant administration experience
  • Experience in calendar management, travel arrangements and event planning and
  • Valid and unrestricted NM driver’s license

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $77,000 commensurate with education and experience. Generous benefits package includes health, education, dental, vision, disability, and life insurances, retirement, vacation and sick leave.
