Tania Sanchez is the Chief of Staff for the Network and Infrastructure Engineering Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a former City Councilor for the City of Española. She has been at LANL for 17 years and began her career as a graduate student while obtaining her Master of Business Administration degree. Prior to the Laboratory, Tania was a Nutritionist for the State of New Mexico.
Tania was raised in Española and is a first-generation college graduate. She is committed to public service and is passionate about giving back to the communities of Northern New Mexico. She is the founder of “It Takes a Valley,” a virtual community outreach organization in Española with over 1,000 members. She established two Girls on the Run programs that help inspire young girls to lead healthy and confident lives. She has served on the Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund Advisory Committee for six years working to guide program growth, select winners and support fundraising efforts. Tania also serves on a number of other boards and committees within the community.
