Two Years in a Row, LANL Foundation Earns Family Friendly Business Award®
Española, NM – The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation has again earned the Platinum distinction by Family Friendly New Mexico (FFNM) for its workplace policies. FFNM is a statewide initiative developed to recognize employers that have adopted policies that give New Mexico businesses an advantage in recruiting and retaining the best employees. This is the second year in a row that LANL Foundation has earned the Platinum distinction.
“I’m so proud of this award,” said President & CEO of the LANL Foundation Jenny Parks. “We have intentionally prioritized the wellbeing of our employees as we believe our people are our greatest asset. We have consistently implemented policies to assure that our employees have the tools they need to do great work and to take care of themselves and their families. These policies include flexible scheduling, as well as hybrid work options.”
LANL Foundation also offers paid leave, affordable medical and dental insurance plans to both part-time and full-time employees, a 5% 401k contribution even if the employee does not contribute, and in 2022, added an additional Mental Health Day for all employees.
The Family Friendly New Mexico initiative offers training, support, and resources to businesses on how to implement family friendly policies; provides recognition to businesses and organizations that offer their employees family friendly benefits; and acts as a resource and clearinghouse of information for businesses and community leaders as they develop policies on issues such as paid family leave and childcare assistance.
