LANL Foundation Now Accepting Career Pathways Scholarship Applications
Espanola, New Mexico—The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2022 Career Pathways Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to $3,000 to qualified applicants pursuing a 2-year degree, trade, or certificate. High school seniors and individuals with a high school diploma or GED/High School Equivalency (HSE), or some college experience are encouraged to apply.
“There is a tremendous demand for skilled workers in our region, and earning an Associate degree or trade certificate will undoubtedly open doors to rewarding, well-paying jobs right here in Northern New Mexico. Whether you are a high school senior seeking to earn an Associate degree and get to work or an adult learner returning to formal education or reskilling to make a career change, the Career Pathways Scholarship is available to support you,” said Mike Ammerman, LANL Foundation Scholarship Program Manager.
Applicants must be permanent residents of the seven-county region in Northern New Mexico which LANL Foundation serves (Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties). Funding can be applied to any accredited post-secondary educational institution, in- or out-of-state. Career Pathways Scholarships are awards of $750 per semester, up to $3,000 total; renewal is dependent upon academic standing and overall progress toward completion of degree or certification.
