ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for 2022. Following a nomination and evaluation process, Albuquerque Business First named 41 New Mexico-based companies as this year’s Best Places to Work. The awards are given to companies that go above and beyond to ensure the overall wellbeing of their workforce. Honorees were celebrated at a special event today at Topgolf in Albuquerque.

“I am thrilled and grateful that the LANL Foundation has been recognized as being among the best places to work,” said Jenny Parks, President and CEO. “As many employees of nonprofit organizations know, it is often hard to stop working when you are passionate about making change in our communities. This kind of work, while extremely rewarding, can also be tiring. At the LANL Foundation, we have prioritized the mental and physical health of our workforce with policies that focus on the needs and lifestyles of our individuals and families. We know that happy and healthy employees are key to our ongoing success.”

After a call for nominations from the public, Business First’s research partner, Quantum Workplace, administered confidential employment satisfaction surveys to employees of each participating company. Once the final calculations were completed, companies with the highest scores were named honorees. Companies were placed into four different categories based on the size of the staff. The LANL Foundation was nominated in the small business category.

“We have a great diverse group of dedicated employees who go above and beyond to have the maximum impact in the Northern New Mexico communities that we live in and serve,” said Jacob Dominguez, Human Resources Officer at the LANL Foundation. “We are a family, and we treat each other respectfully, but we always have fun in the process.”

A special Best Places to Work edition of Albuquerque Business First will publish in print and online tomorrow. The presenting sponsor for the 2022 Best Places to Work Awards is CHRISTUS St. Vincent.
