Coming together for our Northern New Mexico neighbors

As the Frijoles Canyon Fire continues to impact communities in Northern New Mexico, our neighbors need support—and they need it now.

The LANL Foundation and Thornburg Foundation are each contributing $10,000 to the Frijoles Fire 2026 Fund, hosted by the Santa Fe Community Foundation, to help provide critical resources to individuals and families affected by the fire.

The fund is designed to provide flexible support where it is needed most, helping local organizations respond to immediate needs such as:

  • Emergency food and supplies
  • Shelter and evacuation assistance
  • Support for displaced families
  • Other emerging needs as the situation evolves

Just as importantly, these resources can adapt as communities move from immediate response toward longer-term recovery.

We believe the strength of Northern New Mexico is in how we show up for one another. We’re grateful to the Santa Fe Community Foundation for bringing philanthropic partners together and to the local organizations working directly with families and communities affected by the fire.

You can help too.

If you’re able, we encourage you to contribute to the Frijoles Fire 2026 Fund. Your support will help local organizations respond quickly and meet the needs of our neighbors today and in the weeks and months ahead.

THANK YOU FOR STANDING WITH OUR NORTHERN NEW MEXICO COMMUNITIES.
