The LANL Foundation is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Career Pathways Scholarship, a program designed to support students and adult learners in Northern New Mexico who are pursuing an associate degree, certificate, or professional trade credential. The scholarship offers $750 per semester, up to $3,000 total, to help recipients achieve their educational and career goals.
Supporting Diverse Learners
The Career Pathways Scholarship is uniquely tailored for individuals at all stages of their educational and professional journeys. Eligible applicants include high school seniors, GED/High School Equivalency (HSE) recipients, and adults returning to school. Applicants must be permanent residents (366+ consecutive days) of Northern New Mexico counties, including Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos.
“We’re thrilled to welcome applicants from every walk of life!” said Mike Ammerman, LANL Foundation Scholarship Program Director. “Our Career Pathways scholars are an inspiring group of individuals at various stages of their personal and professional journeys. Some are fresh out of high school while others are seasoned professionals courageously changing careers. Many are returning to school after years away, driven by the desire for a better future. No matter where they are in life or learning, we’re honored to bolster their success and be a part of their incredible stories!”
“The Career Pathways Scholarships are an incredible opportunity that helps to support students, including non-traditional learners, pursuing an associate degree or certificate program in our communities. There is a critical need for skilled workers in these fields and the Los Alamos Employee Scholarship Fund (LAESF) is thrilled to be able to help support these students as they work towards achieving their goals. We are so proud of all these students and look forward to seeing their successes on this journey,” said Brad Beck, LAESF Chair-Elect and Co-Chair of the Career Pathways Committee.
