At the LANL Foundation, we believe that bold, community-rooted policy and enhancing collaboration among philanthropic, non-profit and public entities will help ensure every child in New Mexico has access to the education and opportunities they deserve. Our Policy & Impact division amplifies our foundation’s impact on educational systems by thoughtfully organizing diverse voices to design bold, community-and youth-led solutions, expand educational resources, coordinate public and private funders, and transform policy so that young people and communities thrive. Our division’s work reflects our foundation’s growing leadership in shaping state policy and funding to better support students, educators, and families, especially in Northern New Mexico.
Grounded in the voices of local communities and guided by data, our Policy & Impact work is focused on lasting systems change that strengthens education from early childhood through career pathways. Through enhancing collaboration among philanthropic funders, public agencies, tribal governments, private-sector allies, and nonprofit partners, we aim to expand access to quality education and meaningful career opportunities across the region. Whether championing legislation, supporting grassroots advocacy, aligning philanthropic and public funding, or informing state-level decisions, the LANL Foundation is committed to advancing policies and systems that reflect the strength, diversity, and aspirations of New Mexico’s children and communities.

Expanding Opportunities for Underrepresented Youth

We’re partnering with Pueblos, Tribes and Nations to help them accomplish their C3P goals.
