June Yu

Dr. June Yu is the Interim Vice President for UC National Laboratories (UCNL). She is responsible for the governance and contract administration of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and for representation of the University in the management of limited liability companies (LLCs) that operate two other National Laboratories – Los Alamos Nation Laboratory (LANL) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). June joined the University of California Office of the President as Director for National Laboratory Programs and was appointed Associate Vice President.

As the Associate Vice President, her responsibilities have focused on oversight sand assurance of Science Technology and Engineering (ST&E) and Mission functions at the National Labs. She has also contributed to the development of strategic opportunities aimed at enhancing the partnership between the UC campuses and the National Labs.

June holds a doctorate in Optical sciences from the University of Arizona, and an International Security Graduate Certificate from Stanford University. She is a graduate of the UC-CORO Systems-wide Leadership Collaborative, the LLNL-UC Berkeley HAAS School of Business Leadership Institute (LI) Program, and the UCLA Technical Management Program.
