Denise is a native Santa Fean and multi-generational Northern New Mexican. She joined the LANL Foundation in early 2023 to support the Finance and Operations Team as an Accountant.
Denise comes to the Foundation with extensive experience working with nonprofits, federations, and foundations across North America. For the previous six years, she worked for NPact as Director of Implementation executing strategies that improved overall efficiency, implementing best practices, and integrating software that organized financial data allowing for the successful management of funding, donor relations, accounting and grant and scholarship management. She has traveled to dozens of foundations in North America to work with foundation staff teams on best practices regarding grant and scholarship management, focusing on streamlining processes, reducing administrative work, and producing reports and evaluation to the communities those Foundations support.
In New Mexico, she worked at Con Alma Health Foundation as Project Director (2014-2016), and was the Project Director for New Mexico’s first official day of giving in 2014 which had 400 + organizations participate across the state. She also worked at the New Mexico Foundation as Director of Community Philanthropy.
Denise loves hiking, reading, and spending time with her large extended family. She currently lives in Rio Rancho with her daughter, Analise, and two dogs, Bruiser and Sofie.
