LANL Foundation Now Accepting Career Pathways Scholarship Applications

Espanola, New Mexico—The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2021 fall term Career Pathways Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to $3,000 to qualified applicants pursuing a 2-year degree, trade, or certificate. High school seniors and individuals with a high school diploma or GED/High School Equivalency (HSE), or some college experience are encouraged to apply.

“Our regional institutions offer a wide range of 2-year and certificate programs that prepare students to enter the workforce with the skills they need to succeed. Whether you are a high school senior seeking to earn an Associate’s degree and get to work or an adult learner returning to formal education or reskilling to make a career change, the Career Pathways Scholarship is available to support you,” said Mike Ammerman, LANL Foundation Scholarship Program Manager.

Applicants must be permanent residents of the seven-county region in Northern New Mexico which LANL Foundation serves (Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties). Funding can be applied to any accredited post-secondary educational institution, in- or out-of-state. Career Pathways Scholarships are for awards of $750 per semester, up to $3,000 total; renewal is dependent upon academic standing and overall progress to completion of degree or certification.
