Denise Gonzales

Database Coordinator

Denise Gonzales is the Accounts Payable and Database Coordinator at the LANL Foundation, where she manages the Foundation’s integrated databases and provides expertise in invoice processing, account reconciliation, and vendor relations. She is adept at streamlining payment systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting accurate financial reporting.

With more than 25 years of experience in philanthropy, Denise has worked extensively with nonprofits, federations, and foundations across North America. She has collaborated with foundation staff teams on best practices in grant and scholarship management, focusing on streamlining processes, reducing administrative workloads, and producing meaningful reports and evaluations that strengthen the communities those foundations serve.

In New Mexico, Denise served as Project Director at the Con Alma Health Foundation (2014–2016), where she led New Mexico’s first official statewide day of giving in 2014, engaging more than 400 organizations. Prior to that, she was the Director of Community Philanthropy at the New Mexico Foundation (2004–2014).

Outside of work, Denise enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her daughter and grandson.
