Jovanna Archuleta

Early Childhood Education Program Director

Jovanna Archuleta is the Early Childhood Program Director at the LANL Foundation, where she leads efforts to strengthen early childhood systems across Northern New Mexico. In this role, she works closely with Tribal partners to revisit and expand early childhood strategic plans, while advancing advocacy, collaboration, and program development that improve outcomes for children and families.

Her commitment to this work is both professional and deeply personal. As a young mother, Jovanna leaned on community resources to help her and her son thrive. That lived experience shapes her passion for ensuring other parents have the support they need to reach their full potential. She later served as the nation’s first Assistant Secretary for Native American Early Childhood Education and Care within New Mexico’s Early Childhood Education and Care Department, under the Lujan Grisham administration. Before that, she worked at the LANL Foundation as Pueblo Outreach Coordinator, partnering with the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos to develop strategic plans—work she continues to strengthen today.

Born and raised in Nambé Pueblo, Jovanna now raises her two children with her husband while passing down the cultural values instilled by her grandmothers and mother. Inspired by a long line of strong leaders, she is committed to ensuring families have access to resources, opportunities, and healing for future generations.
