New Mexico is leading the nation in the amount of “Opportunity Youth”— individuals neither in school nor working. C3P believes it is crucial to expand and improve access to college, career, and community pathway opportunities for the youth in Northern New Mexico especially those of color, low economic status, and young parents.

The Strategy Table is dedicated to ensuring underrepresented youth and young adults in Northern New Mexico have abundant opportunities to attain the skills, work experiences, confidence and social capital they need to be connected or reconnected to education and employment so they can secure employment, build their income and achieve economic well-being in their communities. Our focus is on youth of color, opportunity youth, young parents and other underrepresented youth middle school age through age 29 in San Miguel County, Mora County, Taos County, Rio Arriba County, Santa Fe County, Los Alamos County, Sandoval County and the 18 Pueblos, Tribes and Nations located in those counties.

New Mexico Native American Workforce Partners:
We’ve partnered with New Mexico Community Capital and Poston & Associates, LLC to assist the New Mexico Native American Workforce Partners (NAWP) with professional development, as well as assisting with member organization coordination and collaboration. LANL Foundation is also assisting in the development of the organization through strategic planning, with Poston & Associates, and website development, by Frohlichstein, LLC. The NAWP is an informal association supporting workforce development through the support of Tribal WIOA 106 and 177 funded entities throughout New Mexico.
