Trauma, Abuse & Neglect: The Implications for Educators

This workshop for secondary educators & administrators in Española Valley Public Schools aims to define trauma, particularly associated with the forms of abuse and neglect, and how its effects can interrupt brain development in children. Educators will gain an understanding of arousal levels, triggers, and trauma responses. Skill and strategies will be presented to help avoid triggers in the classroom and promote self-regulation for students.

Dinner will be provided.
