ISEC Schools & Partners

In addition to LANL Foundation’s $13.7 million investment in inquiry STEM education since 2010, initial funding support from LANS, LLC and LATA got the program off the ground.

New Mexico Public Education Department recognized ISEC as an exemplary learning model and granted the program $100,000 to assist expansion efforts into more rural areas of Northern New Mexico starting in the 2016–2107 school year.

Curriculum Partners

Research-based, grade-specific science and engineering curriculum modules with experiential materials are alignedwith current state standards and Next Generation Science Standards and are sourced from two partnering companies. Whenever possible materials are purchased from local businesses.

School Districts

Currently, ISEC serves 8 districts, 44 elementary schools, 570 teachers and approximately 11,000 students with a spectrum of 14 curriculum module titles (7 physical sciences and 7 Earth sciences, each with multiple lessons) for K–6 classrooms.
