Juniper Lovato has been a Northern New Mexico resident her entire life. She currently serves as the Director of Education for the Santa Fe Institute. In this role, she works across generations and geographical limits to make resources and knowledge on cutting-edge complexity science accessible to those with a hunger for learning.
Juniper received her master’s degree in Western Classics from St. John’s College and earned a B.A. from the College of Santa Fe in business administration and political science. Lovato is an active community member who holds board positions at the Santa Fe Railyard Community Corporation and the Mandela International Magnet School, and serves on the Santa Fe Public Schools’ Digital Learning Advisory Committee. Juniper is a founding member of MAKE Santa Fe, a community makespace where people can access tools, resources, and workshops to create anything they can dream. Juniper joined the LANL Foundation board in 2015.
