Billie Blair is a consultant in media and marketing, previously serving as Associate Publisher and Editor of the Santa Fe New Mexican, Publisher of The Taos News, and President of the Santa Fe Community Foundation. She has called Northern New Mexico home since 1973.
Billie has a master’s degree in communications from the University of Alabama, is a 2000 graduate of Leadership New Mexico, and has been inducted into the New Mexico Press Association Hall of Fame to honor her 26 years of contributions to journalism. She is Vice President of El Crepusculo, Inc. and Secretary of the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government.
Her prior board service is as President of the New Mexico Press Association, Vice President of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of the New Mexico Association of Grantmakers, and the Santa Fe Community Foundation. Since leaving SFCF, she has volunteered as a reading tutor in the Santa Fe Public Schools and is trained as an instructor in English as a Second Language. Her stepson has been a teacher in Taos for 18 years, and her husband, a retired attorney, is a daily substitute teacher and volunteer in the Santa Fe Public Schools. Billie joined the LANL Foundation board in 2016.
