Barry Herskowitz

Barry a retired CPA attended public schools in Queens NY and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Baruch College-CUNY. He has experience in public accounting, corporate finance and private equity and was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Marymount Manhattan College. 

In 1992 Barry and his wife Colleen moved to Santa Fe. He was an adjunct instructor at Santa Fe Community College and a substitute elementary school teacher for SFPS. He currently assists a 7th grade math teacher at El Camino Real Academy as a volunteer for Communities in Schools.  Barry was on the board of directors of the Santa Fe Community Foundation from 2009 to 2015. He was a court appointed advocate for children in foster care and currently mentors a 14 year old boy for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Barry is the Board Treasurer of the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center and the Doris G. Walbridge Foundation and is a member of the Con Alma Health Foundation’s finance and audit committees. Barry joined the LANL Foundation board in 2017.
